Rules & Regulations

Two tennis rackets crossed over each other on a tennis court with two tennis balls on one racket, in black and white.

Court Etiquette

  • Please do not walk onto/behind a court when the ball is in play. Wait for that point to finish before you cross a court.

  • If a ball rolls onto your court from another court, kindly roll the ball back to the fence of that court if you aren’t able to pass it to those players. Do NOT stop game play on your court just to roll a ball back.

  • If a ball goes out of the court and into the park or street, please yell “BALL OUT!!” and someone not playing will grab the ball for you. Do NOT stop play on your court to retrieve the ball. Someone will get it for you.

  • Please try and keep the chatting volume to a low level when sitting on the benches. We do encourage socializing but remember others are also playing points and need concentration.

  • Please try not to stand behind courts 1 & 2 while the ball is in play. Try and keep to the bench area.

  • Keep Courts Clean: Please leave the courts in better shape than when you arrived! Let us keep these beautiful public courts clean.

  • Priority to those who have played the fewest times.

  • We will arrange courts based on skill level and attendees that sign up.

  • The suggested donation for the MeetUp is $5.00. This helps cover the cost of balls, supplies, and social events.

  • If you find yourself on the waitlist please make sure to check back and see if you’ve been moved to the “Going List.” This happens automatically and can happen on short notice.

Please double check MeetUp (1) HOUR BEFORE scheduled start time for weather and other related updates.

Event Rules

  1. At all times be respectful of other members and organizer. Those that can not respect our members, the organizer, or our rules will be banned.

  2. If you RSVP "Yes" and later decided not to come, please change the RSVP to "No" so the first member on the “Waitlist” can get your spot.

2.a) If you choose not to attend an event that you RSVPd "Yes" to, please make sure you change your RSVP no later than 6 PM, the day before the start of that event so that those on the ”Waitlist” will have time to make accommodations if they are moved to the "Going" list.

2.b) Please remember that if you are on the waitlist, the assumption is that you will be able to attend if you are moved up to the "Going" list. If you cannot attend, then kindly remove yourself from the waitlist by 6 PM the day before the event

2.c) Anyone who is on the "Going" list before the start of that event and do not show up for the event will be considered a "No Show".

2.d) Anyone that cancels AFTER 6 PM the day before the start of the event will be considered a "No Show".

2.e) If any member has 3 "No Shows” within a 3 month period, that member will be suspended from RSVPing to the group for 1 month.

  3. Members are expected to arrive on time. If you are more than 15 minutes late you will be considered a "No Show".

  4. Please arrive and be ready to play at the start of the event. (If you need to stretch, apply sunscreen, or eat, please arrive early enough to do so BEFORE the start of play.

  5. Remember, you can only RSVP to (1) session per day! Either 8:30 (OR) 10:30. NOT BOTH! If you RSVP for (2) sessions for the same day you will be REMOVED from BOTH!! So please pay close attention to which session you are choosing and DO NOT RSVP for more than one session per day.

  6. All First-time attendees to a Rossi Racquet Club event must message the organizer thru MeetUp PRIOR to the start of the event to confirm attendance. If you do NOT message the organizer by 6pm the night BEFORE the start of the event then you will forfeit your spot and the next person on the waitlist will be moved to the going list.

  7. Please avoid no shows and late cancellations as you are taking away from someone else's chance to enjoy the event.

  8. Please understand that your RSVP is a commitment to the other players who are attending. Their event experience, like yours, is adversely affected when a member doesn't show up or is consistently late.

  9. If you RSVP for a MeetUp event and have to change your RSVP, do so by 6 pm the day before the event. This allows for others on the “Waitlist” to be able to be moved to the “Going List”

  10. Be kind to those on the waitlist, it could be you one day.

  11. Three “No Shows” may result in removal of RSVP privileges for future MeetUps.
